Unitron Hearing Enhances Mid- and Entry-Level Products
With More High-Value Features
November 8, 2005 - Kitchener, ON -- Unitron Hearing Australia announced today the
addition of new, high-value features to its mid-level hearing instrument, Conversa.NT
and its entry-level Unison series. Conversa.NT and all three products in the Unison
series now incorporate new features to meet the listening needs of even more clients, while building
on the company’s ongoing commitment to deliver more value in every product category.
Conversa.NT Now Features AutoMic
The addition of AutoMic to Conversa.NT further enhances the directional microphone
strategy of this high-value, mid-level instrument designed for clients who communicate in diverse listening
situations.
AutoMic is now included as a standard feature in addition to Conversa.NT’s adaptive
beamformer. The new feature automatically switches between omni and fixed directional patterns, within
the selected listening program, based on the sound levels in the listening environment. Said Robert
Walesa, Director of Product Marketing, “Enhancing Conversa.NT’s directional microphone strategy gives
fitters greater flexibility to select the directional approach that works best for individual clients
AutoMic, adaptive beamformer or a combination.”
AutoMic is an ideal addition to Conversa.NT’s advanced features, which also include
speech enhancement, intelligent noise reduction and the realtime feedback canceller.
New Features, Styles in Unison Series
Comprised of Unison 6, 3 and Essential, the enhanced Unison
series now offers more features and greater value in the entry-level category. The series’ three models
meet different listening, lifestyle and budget requirements, while multiple processing strategies continue
to offer supreme fitting ease and flexibility.
New to Unison 6 Feature-rich
and affordable Unison 6 now enhances fitting satisfaction by allowing fitters to apply and adjust noise
reduction in combination with the multiple processing strategies. In addition, the new availability
of Unison 6 as an open fitting Moda 10A BTE extends the advantages of an open fit into the affordable
category.
Designed for active clients, Unison 6 continues to offer a choice of four processing
strategies, three listening programs, dual directionality, adaptive feedback canceller, multiband feedback
manager and easy t-coil.
New to Unison 3 The
very affordable Unison 3 now offers the advantages of the adaptive feedback canceller, which provides
greater comfort by controlling feedback caused by everyday situations. Designed for clients exposed
to fewer listening environments, Unison 3 continues to offer a choice of two processing strategies,
three listening programs, dual directionality, multiband feedback manager and easy-t-coil.
New to Unison Essential Designed
for budget-conscious clients and those making the transition from analog instruments, Unison Essential
now includes the multiband feedback manager, which addresses fit-related feedback in several bands simultaneously,
ensuring a quick-feedback-free fit with less chance of fit-related remakes.
“The latest Unison enhancements provide an even greater level of choice to clients
seeking excellent value and performance in an affordable instrument,” said Walesa.
Expanded Choice in Open Fitting BTE Styles
In addition to the product enhancements, Conversa.NT and the Unison series offer
an extensive choice of fully featured, open fitting BTE styles. Conversa.NT and Unison 6 are available
in an open fit in both Moda 10A BTE and a size 13 no VC. With these additions, Unitron Hearing now offers
the most extensive choice of open fitting products in the entry to mid-level categories.
Both BTE styles are also available with traditional earmolds to satisfy a wider range of hearing losses.
