Moda™ - the Ultra-Small, Fully Featured BTE

Moda

Kitchener, ON - Unitron Hearing Australia, a manufacturer of easy-to-use digital hearing solutions, introduces their new stylish BTE design today. Moda™, the ultra-small, fully featured 10A BTE offers a modern, discreet, and quick fit to satisfy more hearing losses.

The new Moda BTE is a cosmetically appealing solution to satisfy mild to moderate hearing losses and those with sloping high frequency losses who may have resisted a BTE for cosmetic reasons. Moda’s tiny profile is inconspicuous and available with two options: the new slim tube for open fittings or traditional earmolds.

“We keep the listening needs and aesthetic desires of people with hearing loss in the forefront of our research and development initiatives,” said Cameron Hay, President & CEO, Unitron Hearing. “Unfortunately, people wait an average of seven to ten years before seeking help for their hearing loss. Moda was designed to lessen the barriers and stigma typically associated with wearing hearing instruments, and improve customer acceptance, especially for new wearers. Clients like the Moda styling because it is discreet, very light-weight, and non-occluding so it feels very comfortable and natural.”

The new Moda BTE, styled for Conversa.NT™, includes high-value features such as adaptive beamformer, speech enhancement, intelligent noise reduction, realtime feedback canceller, telecoil, push-button programs and microphone protection. The choice of slim tube open fittings or traditional earmolds gives the hearing healthcare professional the flexibility to fit more clients with a wider range of hearing losses with a stylish, full performance BTE. The slim tube open fittings address concerns about occlusion often expressed by new wearers. The slim tube permits open, occlusion-free fittings that provide more natural sound, and can improve customer acceptance. Offering a more subtle alternative to earmolds, the slim tube fittings require no ear impressions and allow same-day fittings. Fitters also have the choice of changing to earmolds if more gain is required.

Moda will be available worldwide in May 2005, with the new Conversa.NT digital product line, and in a range of stylish colors including metallics. Hearing healthcare professionals fitting Conversa.NT will find Moda’s features and software fitting requirements intuitive and familiar. Learn more about Moda>
