May 14, 2007 Moxi™: Unitron Hearing’s
No Compromise BTE Supporting Canal Receiver Technology (CRT) Kitchener,
ON, Canada - Today, Unitron Hearing announced Moxi™,
the first no compromise CRT (Canal Receiver Technology) offering cosmetics, performance and a full fitting
range.
Most Comprehensive Fitting Range in
One Product Line Moxi, the ultra-small BTE, offers the most comprehensive
fitting range available within one CRT product line. Moxi ensures hearing healthcare professionals can
fit more clients with a wide range of hearing losses and preferences. Two different external receivers,
which fit directly in the ear canal, provide six different fitting options for clients with mild to
severe hearing losses.
An Industry First
with onBoard™ Control Moxi is the smallest hearing device with a multifunctional
onBoard™ control. An industry first on such a small BTE, onBoard control, programmed with U:fit™
fitting software, can be either a volume control or a program selection button.
“Research
validates that most wearers prefer to retain control over the loudness of their hearing instruments,”
commented Dr. Donald Hayes, Director of Audiology, Unitron Hearing. “Other small BTEs with external
receivers force compromises on the fitting range, the hearing instrument performance or have no volume
control. Moxi’s small form factor, innovative features, and choice of fitting options mean no compromises
are made on style or performance.”
Moxi is available at four distinct
price points from premium down to the advanced and essential categories with the Indigo™
and Element™ series. All Moxi products are offered with
a choice of standard or power external receivers, allowing a fitting range of up to 95 dB.
