Joseph Johnson decided to try wearing hearing instruments after he noticed that he was missing parts of conversations and the higher octave of notes on his guitar.

In program three, customized for listening to music, Joseph enjoys listening to the full, rich sound of his guitar, especially the higher notes and pitches that he used to miss. He can also discern the different instruments in songs, many that he was not able to hear before.

Joseph notices that he can hear speech more easily and discriminate consonants clearly, which is especially important for him, since he is keen to learn and speak Spanish.
