Dick Dychuck
When you ask Dick Dychuck about his Element™ 16 Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aids, he is quick to say, “They’ve changed my life.”
Dick wore In-The-Canal (ITC) hearing aids before trying Element 16. He found his ITC hearing instruments were uncomfortable, did not fit properly in his ears, and they required too many adjustments.

He read about the Unitron Hearing field trials in the local newspaper and decided to take part to learn more about new hearing aid technologies.
When Dick first tried the Element 16 hearing instruments, he immediately noticed a difference. He walked outside and he heard the birds singing. Later that week he discovered the sound of rain falling again. He also noticed he could “hear conversations 100% better”, even in his daughter’s home, which used to pose a challenge because of its open concept and cathedral ceilings.

When the field trials ended, Dick went immediately to a local hearing healthcare professional to purchase Element 16 hearing aids. He had them within a week, and he has worn them everyday all day since he bought them.
Dick now enjoys participating in conversations in his car. He can hear his wife’s speech and the radio clearly, but he is not bothered by irritating sounds like the car motor or traffic.

He recently wore his Element hearing aids on a Vegas trip. He wore them in the casinos, typically a very loud environment, and he still found them comfortable.
“I didn’t even know that I had them on,” he explains.
Dick recommends Element 16 BTE hearing aids to others with a hearing loss.
"Until you lose your hearing, you do not understand hearing loss or its impact," he explains.

“These hearing aids have changed my life. I don’t think about them as much now, and I rarely have to adjust the volume. Listening to conversations is so much more enjoyable.”
