Justin has worn hearing aids since he was five years old. With many of his previous hearing aids, there were many situations where he had difficulty hearing, such as watching television or having a conversation in a noisy restaurant. Because of these challenges, Justin found that he was avoiding social situations. Since he began wearing his Next hearing instruments, Justin has noticed a difference right away: “The sound quality is excellent and they handle background noise really well.” And Justin knows about background noise. Working in a steel mill, Justin moves between a very noisy factory and a very quiet office: “Even with the loud noises of the mill, I can still have a conversation with my colleagues. As I move between the different areas of the building, the hearing aids transition their settings very smoothly.”

When Justin needs to make manual adjustments to his hearing instruments, he uses the Smart Control remote to do this: “It’s a great tool. The big buttons and backlighting are really helpful. I can keep the remote in my pocket and adjust my hearing aids at the same time without putting my hand up to my ears. I only use the remote to make adjustments to my hearing aids.”

The style of the hearing instrument is very important to Justin. He doesn’t want people to see that he is wearing them. Because of this, Justin selected the small and discreet Moxi shell and slim tube options. He finds that people do not notice that he is wearing hearing devices: “People can’t even tell that I’m wearing hearing aids unless I point it out to them.”
